Motherhood Circles

There is no amount of individual self care that will match the healing and restorative nature of cultivating deep and meaningful relationships. In motherhood, we NEED these relationships more than ever to nurture our souls during this sacred time. The circles I facilitate through Mother the mamas offer exactly that- hosted in the warmth and comfort of my own home, I am passionate about welcoming mothers into my space to co-create the circle magic together.

These circles serve as intimate gatherings where mothers come together to share, connect, and find support in a welcoming and judgment-free space. While attending will definitely fulfill the need for self care, it will also provide the type of space where mothers can skip the small talk and dive straight into the depths of the “real & raw stuff” - witnessing and holding space for each other. Mothers will feel held, seen and pampered during this time, as well as have opportunities to feel playful and relax through creative arts and mindfulness practices.

Spring 2025 Circle

I am here to welcome you each week with open arms, fresh baked goods and tea, and a safe space to just be you. Each circles series is unique based on the people who attend, however some of the themes we may tend to include:

Transition through Matrescence - Releasing Mom Guilt - Finding Balance - Intimacy and Relationship Changes - Embracing New Identity Shifts - Reparenting / Conscious Parenting, High Nurture Parenting - Shifts in Family and Friend Relationships - Self Love / Self Care - Mindfulness and Slowing Down in Motherhood - Birth Story Sharing / Witnessing

In addition to our 8 weekly gatherings, your investment will also include several extra gatherings such as a group hike, a family potluck for partners and children to join, and workshops with professionals in postpartum related fields. Mothers are also welcome to continue joining future rounds of circles as each 8 week series is not an exact repeat of the previous!

Testimonials

  • “After a traumatic birth and very challenging and lonely early postpartum period I became acutely aware of how I had underestimated how much support I would need and overestimated how much support I would have. I became increasingly more isolated, frustrated, depressed, and anxious as the months wore on.

I needed a village. I needed to be witnessed in my mothering, in my successes. I needed to be held through my struggles and failures. I needed to be in an intentional space that was designed exactly for mothers where I could witness and be seen, where I could learn and share.

I joined Mother the Mamas post partum support circle and found exactly the restorative experience I was looking for. I felt held by other mothers who filled my cup. Sylvia has created a space where mothers in all stages of motherhood can feel safe to explore their feelings around motherhood and seek friendship and advice. It’s been such a beautiful experience and I’m really grateful it exists.”

  • “Sylvia is genuine, open, giving, and caring, and she cultivates such a warm, cozy, loving space. From the first time I walked in the door, greeted by a crackling fire in the fireplace, comfy pillows, warm tea and the most delicious homemade treats, I was immediately put at ease, and I looked forward to it every week.

She is gifted at creating a safe space where it’s okay to be honest and vulnerable, and to give and receive love and support. I’m very grateful for the healing and friendship that I’ve received from Sylvia!”

  • “Joining Sylvia's Motherhood Circle was a transformative experience for me as I navigated the early stages of motherhood. As a new mom, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself, but Sylvia's circle provided the support, wisdom, and community I desperately needed. Her warmth and understanding helped me feel heard and validated, and the safe space she created allowed me to connect with other mothers who were going through similar experiences.”
